Swim classes are now forming at the Newport City Pool.  For more information call Rita Cooper at 870-523-6568, ext. 112.  Also parties are now being booked for the summer.  So call early to ensure you get the date you want.

The Portfest hospitality committee is looking for your old serving spoons, forks, knives, spatulas, large plastic bowls, microwave, coffee maker (nothing needs to match) to stock the Portfest hospitality area. Help us continue the Portfest tradition of offering exceptional hospitality to our entertainers and workers!  If you would like to donate any of these items that you no longer need, please drop off to the Chamber office.

The Christian Community Clinic of Jackson County is sponsoring a drawing for a new grill to benefit the clinic.
The grill is valued at over one-thousand dollars.
Tickets are five dollars each or six for twenty-five dollars.

The Jackson County Library has started a new Story Time for three and four year olds. It will be on the first Wednesday of the month at 10 a.m. The theme for the first six sessions will be Community Helpers. Story leaders for the series will include a policeman, farmer, dentist, teacher and game warden
