The deadline to register to be eligible to vote in the November 4 General Election is Monday, October 6. You may register in the Jackson County Clerks office during normal business hours Monday-Friday 8 A.M.-4:30 P.M.
Greyhound Touchdown Lunch will be held every Monday during football season in the Harris Hospital community room beginning at noon. Lunch is $5 per person.
The Jackson County Book Nook, located directly behind Umsted Methodist Church on McLain St., is open each Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. They offer a wide range of books for all ages. Friends of the Jackson County Library operate the Book Nook and all proceeds go to help with programs and needs of the library.
