United States  Senator Mark Pryor and his wife Barbara will make a public appearance at Hardee's  in Newport Thursday morning at 8:30.
The Jackson County Book Nook, located directly behind Umsted Methodist Church on McLain St., is open each Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. They offer a wide range of books for all ages. Friends of the Jackson County Library operate the Book Nook and all proceeds go to help with programs and needs of the library.
