The "Relay for Life" "All Nighter" for 2012 is scheduled for this Friday night, April 13 at the Old Newport Hospital Campus Parking Lot.

The annual event, "Teaming Up Against Cancer" is designed to not only to raise money for research, but to draw attention to the battle every cancer patient must go through, and to celebrate the many victories that are won.

The activities begin with a Parade of Survivors from the Crowley's Ridge Development Council building to the Relay site and then the Opening Ceremony at 6:00 p.m.

The Survivor Lap will begin at 6:30 p.m and then the Survivor Banquet at 6:35 p.m.

Entertainment begins at 7 p.m by the Newport High School Jazz Band, followed by the Newport Martial Arts School, a special guest singer, Casey Burnside, and the Karaoke Winner.

Activites will halt at 9 p.m for the Luminary Ceremony.

Relay activities will resume at 9:30 p.m with Jeanette McGuire, Larry Bailey, and from 10 p.m. to 12:30 a.m Kenny Crider and the Bottomland Band.

Tunes by Doug Holt will begin at 12;45 a.m.

At 1 a.m the Raffle and Silent Auction winners will be announced and at 5:45 a.m. the "Relay for Life" team winners will be announced.

Throughout the night the various "Relay Teams" will have booths set up, raising money for the battle against cancer.
